New Owner

Post by pduff » Fri Mar 24, 2017 5:00 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am a first time boat owner with the privilege of having a classic yellow SJ21 Mach I my uncle gave to me. I am from the Jacksonville FL and will be sailing in the St. John's River. The boat is a project boat and probably has a lot of things needed to be replaced on it. I have a long history of sailing experience with teaching and racing but have never owned a boat or sailed on a SJ. I look forward to speaking with you all and hope the start of the 2017 sailing season treats yall well.

Man!! I could use your help with rigging and sailing my 78 SJ21 here in Tennessee. Always loved sailboats but never owned one or sailed.

Welcome pduff! Superbik157, make a post asking for help. There's a chance we have some members in your area, and if they're anything like what we have in Fleet 1, someone is likely to come lend you a hand:)

Hey SuperBik where are you in Tn. Did you ever get that SJ going? I just became the proud owner of two of these SJ21s and I am going to restore one of them enough to get out on Watts Bar lake. I would love to see some pics. Until I got on here I thought I was the only one in TN that had one of these.
