Hull #2549 -- Hello again!

Post by kingtoros » Mon Jun 17, 2019 5:03 pm

Hi,

Toros here... again!

So I traded up and in, and wouldn't you know, I found a Mark III only 6 numbers off of mine? This one is requiring far less in restoration. See some pictures below...

It looks like this one rolled off the factory floor and preserved in that condition until now. Took her out for her maiden voyage on Saturday and everything just ... worked. Next step for me is to put her on a body of water that's not a lake...

Hey,

Looking good out there!!

What's wrong with a lake? Keeps the salt off the keel cable! lol

Awesome! I saw your sale post. Better to be sailing than fiberglassing. Though I can promise you this is just a reprieve, there will be fiberglassing.

I literally laughed out loud at this!

Thanks guys! If anyone is in/around the Philly area, would love to meet up and learn from you!

Hello King! Hey could you post a couple of pictures of the interior in a panoramic view of both boats. I have hull #2560 and I have the newer style interior and I was just wondering at what time did they go to this new interior. The old style interior had the bulkheads forward of those storage compartments. The newer style of interior had the bulkheads at the aft of the V berth bed next to the bunks.

Hey Gman, I will absolutely do a few shots of the interior of #2549.

I sold 2555 a few weeks back, hopefully we have a new brother who will join the forum and restore her like I could not!

Here is a wide angle shot of the interior of #2555 after I installed the bulkheads if it gives you any idea of what the configuration is like.

I noted that the winch is mounted on the center support, but on #2549 it's on the keel trunk.
