Has anyone put roller furling on your San Juan 21 did you like it ?

Gene Adams ran one for years before he passed, and IIRC he liked it, but felt it was not "Fast". IE good for cruising, not so much for racing.

I have considered it, but not sure it would add much value. A jib downhaul is invaluable. I could see it if for cruising if you had a big genoa/genniker that you wanted to use like an infinitely adjustable jib. That would be cool, if not terribly efficient and not great for racing. Good for not having to put your beer down though, which is a noble goal.
