You can also check with Stephen at sjsailboats.com. Many of us are running custom setups so sizing and lengths can vary greatly. But Stephen has and sells setups that are stock as well.

Re: outboard bracket
If I understand what you're asking correctly... I just ordered some teak cut offs from ebay, epoxied\laminated them up until I had the thickness I wanted. Cut them into a wedge shape, drill holes, and voila.
I would think that white oak would suffice as well.

Re: Do we have to use Randy Blair's fairing, or can we make
We've had discussions about building our own in Fleet 1. I haven't done it myself, but the front edge of Randy's doesn't really fit the profile of our boats very well, and i'd love to improve on that. As far as being class legal or not, I think you'd be fine as long as you keep it within the spirit ...

MKI Windows
Hey everyone, Chris Popich had cut a few sets of these out and I ended up with them. They are a bit small, so they may, or may not fit without some modifications. They already have some holes drilled out to bolt them onto your boat, but as I said the diameter of those holes might be a little small. ...

Re: New sails
I've honestly had pretty good results with my sails from Island Planet Sails, www.islandplanetsails.com. I think I paid about 25-30% less than a comparable set from Doyle\Kerr. With my best crew we've managed to beat many Doyle\Kerr boats, and come in 3rd at one of the Seattle NOOD's. At my first ev...

Re: Tie Down?
This ^^ ... don't wrench things down too tight. Many in Fleet 1 will wrench things down, and loosen it up when home.Krysia Ry wrote:Use only enough pressure to keep the boat from bouncing. Too much crushes the hull.

Re: Randy Blair Rudder
Tom, just as an FYI I don't think Blair's rudder's meet class specs. There was some discussion a few years back, and I think the measurer came out with a statement as such, but put enforcement onto the Fleets. If you're never going to race, then you're golden, but if you are you might want to check ...

Susan sometimes Fleet 1 makes it over to the Bremerton area. Usually Once in the fall though I can't recall if we are this year or not. If we do, you should definitely stop by. RE: the meetings, it might be more beneficial\fun\time better spent for you to come out to one of our Saturday races and vo...

Re: Mast stepping system
Below is the system Stephen, I'm assuming Jensen, was describing as this is pretty common throughout Fleet 1. Depending on MKI or II\III you can route the lines differently. On my MKI Mizu I have it setup REALLY simple while what's described below is a little more complex. I just have a Downhaul lin...
